Patti Deirmenjian isn’t afraid to take on any professional challenge that comes her way. She spent five years working for the Bering Straight School District in Alaska, worked as a logistics data analyst for NASA in Florida, and worked for the American Stock Exchange in New York.

She met and fell head-over-heels for a neighbor, Aram Deirmenjian while living in New York. They married and were in the beginning stages of planning their future together when the Twin Towers were attacked in 2001. Their values immediately shifted, and they decided to look for a less stressful lifestyle. When the idea of moving to California to start a winery came up, Patti was rolling up her sleeves before Aram could finish explaining the plan. Little did they know that creating a new wine brand can be crazy stressful!

Upon arriving in Paso Robles, Patti went to work for the Atascadero City Manager’s Office. She was initially able to keep it up full-time while getting Kiamie Wine Cellars up and running on the side. Now that the first wines are released, she has left the City office, and is giving the Kiamie project her full attention.

Patti settled right in, and loves everything about Paso Robles; the beautiful countryside, the tight-knit community, and the open, friendly people. When she’s not elbow-deep in wine industry paperwork, she’s out cycling or curled up with a good book.
