Now a local Central California resident, Sophia Stephens started her career in the Paso Robles wine region during her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. As a University graduate and a Paso Robles resident, Sophia is applying her degree in Business Marketing and Wine & Viticulture to the Paso Robles wine industry as Kiamie’s Tasting Room and Wine Club Manager.

After spending a summer in the Castile and Leon region of Spain during her college years, Sophia was assured of her passion and her future career path within the wine industry. She began her career as an intern for a small winery, in which she assisted with two harvests, and was able to get her “feet wet” in the cellar. Her internship led to a full-time position managing a tasting room in which she gained insights to wine marketing and the business of the retail market.

Sophia’s local background and industry knowledge has made her an asset to the Kiamie team, as she assists in the marketing, development, and growth of Kiamie Wine Cellars. Sophia hopes to continue her career in the wine business as she sets her sights on becoming a Sommelier and developing her knowledge and experiences with Kiamie Wine Cellars.
