2006 KIAMIE KUVÉE

The Kiamie Kuvée emphasizes neither its Bordeaux nor its Rhône components, but rather reflects the balance and synergy of all its elements, creating a wine style defined by the blend of its unique fruit. Produced entirely from small-lot fermentations, the wine received a full month of maceration prior to pressing, followed by 18 to 20 months of barrel aging comprising 40% new oak from premier French and Hungarian cooperage houses.

Full-blown aromas of ripe fruit and fine oak. Sweet vanilla bean, framboise liquor, and fresh-roasted coffee accents are part of a complex interplay of deliciously enticing aromas. Rich and lush on the palate, the flavors mirror the aroma layers, making this wine intriguing and worthy of discussion throughout the night. A true “reserve”, this wine represents our best effort in any given vintage.

Recommended Food Pairing:
New Zealand Loin of Lamb with rosemary-green peppercorn sauce accompanied by roasted garlic mashed potatoes and haricot verts drizzled with a balsamic reduction.
